Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping was founded in 1987 by Rogelio Maldonado and his three sons: Jerry, Oscar and Roy. Rogelio had a simple but powerful vision: to build a business that would provide lasting opportunities for his family and others. Having spent years working in landscaping alongside his brothers, Rogelio knew the value of hard work and wanted to pass that legacy on to his sons.

When they moved to San Antonio from Kerrville, they bought a small piece of land on Stahl Road and got to work with only one truck. With little experience and no local connections, the Maldonado family started small—doing cleanup and basic landscape jobs in the surrounding neighborhoods. The early days weren’t easy, but they shared a willingness to work hard, and a strong belief in the vision their father set before them.

Today, Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping is one of Texas’s largest privately owned Landscaping companies, with six locations across five cities and over 500 employees.
